moist lemon cake!

Really into the mood of baking recently... went to research a lot of websites and the http://www.joyofbaking.com and http://www.joyofcakes.com have a lot of delicious looking cakes! want to make everyone of them hahah but all i made was moist lemon cake which tastes really refreshing, with a hint of lemon zest =] it's baked specially for the pals i'm going to Bintan with tmr! hahah oh yea so here's the ever so easy recipe for moist lemon cake :


4 Eggs
1 cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Self-rising flour
4 Tb Lemon
3 Tb Confectioners sugar

Oven Temp ~ 400F; Baking Time ~ 50 Min. Pan Type ~ 8 x 8 Square
Preheat oven - Grease and flour pan
Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs and sifted flour alternately. Turn into prepared pan.Bake at suggested temp, until toothpick comes out clean. In a sauce pan boil lemon juice and sugar. Remove cake from oven & immediately stick a fork in top several times to form. Pour boiling lemon mixture over the cake. Cool in pan.

results!

I can't believe it I miss it this sem! the leak out of results! haha what happens is that I worked from 4pm to 12am at Centrepoint Lancome on sat and at night, the website which released the exam reults well ahead of time spreaded like fire online... I was so tired from all the walking around on hells and serving the customers so I opted for the sack instead of the comp... Maybe it's good after all cos if I know my results i'll not be able to enjoy my bintan trip hahah let all the worries of the results wait till after xmas! hahah

Feeling rather excited about my bintan trip with gwen, davis, my bf, victor, derek and frens! hahah hope the weather will show mercy on us and not rain! Sunshine all day! we gonna do water sports like water ski, massage, cook! hahah it's like french trip all over again, without the restrictions of parents hahah a taste of freedom n independence heheh =]

Anyway, today i finally did my first sunday morning run and it's back at the good old track of Chinese High. I drove there and it's such a mistake cos it's so tricky to drive cos the bt timah road is full of windings and i dunno when to u-turn to get to chinese high... the funny thing is that when I was turning into the chinese high carpark, Mr Ram was walking in my direction, on the pavement... Such coincidence man... but he always look younger shavened hahah... so after i managed to park without hitch i went to run with my fren Shihan... the 30min was rather tiring cos i din have enuff sleep and we were jus going round and round... I drove shihan and jovian to eat breakfast later and it was a mistake to go all the way to Thomson! too far already and it was so hard to park cos must go parallel parking sigh... hahah the prata hse is damn ex too i only ate a cheese prata n a iced tea but it cost $2.70 =[ the worst thing is it started raining so heavily that I cant really see my way in the car... but somehow i was glad that i drove...

Oh at the carpark, i met this really weird driver who kept following me around! I tried to park at an empty lot and nearly reversed into his car cos he suddenly drove behind me... bloody idiot i put my hazard light on already lo... so i gave up and went up another floor though there were empty lots on that floor. to my horror, he was still following me! so i jus had to park somewhere first to let him past but i took a long time doing it... when he passed me he glared at me and i jus glared back... what the fuck... crazy idiot in a lexus... go die la!

For the rest of the day, I basically chauffeur my sister for her piano n violin class... but i did something drastic cos i parked my car near cck mrt and took the mrt to clementi to take the photos cos i got mrt concession... luckily i made it just in time to drive my sis to her piano class... felt so damn drained after all the driving lo... then still need to go and meet charlene at boonlay but i managed to catch some winks before going so it's not so bad... what a bloodly tiring day...

cakes

The first cake i baked this hols was a flop cos i added sugar in addition to the sweetened chocolate that i used... tried again to bake today it seemed quite ok so far... i simply minus off the mass of the sugar required by that present in the chocolate tat i buy hahah i haven't got the chance to try the cake but it smells heavenly hahha =] can't wait to let zj try my cake hehe My irritating sister asked me to cook spaghetti for her but she refused to wake up after i cooked it! Urgh... but today's been a tiring day for her cos she got her Jc posting( ACJC) and she has been trying to appeal at NJ and HCJC. Hopefully she gets into NJ... sighz hhaha

I guess my boring days will soon be over when next tue comes cos gonna go bintan with my frens! hahah... no more marching around orchard road or city hall, visiting Zara, Forever21, Topshop etc again and again... Oh but yest's mango sale was good i bought a tank top and a racer top at a price of $38 only! damn nice too hhehe so i've gotten 3 zara tops( the other is a zara top)so far, in preparation for sch! maybe i can dig out some rare finds tmr at nike sale but i shall go with the motive of buying only nike water bottle and sports bra haha gotta control my spending habits man...

Hols' passing too quickly

Hols is always zooming past, faster than the speed of light... forever so irritatin and saddening! Been working these days, driving around, reading but the desire to spend my hols in a more meaningful way keep gnawing at me... how do i better utilise my 24hrs i kept asking myself but soon it'll be nightfall and the whole vicious cycle begins again... But it's not all that bad, at least i managed to meet up with my close frens like Clara, Julia, Charlene and even attended my road race xmas dinner =] oh not to mentioned painting my Chemical and Environmental Engineering Students' Society room as well! and running, swimming and the endless search for tuition students...

For the rest of the hols, i just hope to meet up with more of my frens, lose weight and earn more money! I can't agree more with Julia when she says that frens and family always gotta come first and all the worldly things second... well, been doing tat cos i hardly ever buy new things during my shopping trips hahah...

After the war...

yea cant believe that exams are really over for me! But the exams ended on a very sad note cos I din do my last 13 marks questions even though I had time left! how careless and blur can i get man... any cap cui semester hai.... sometimes i think being in Chemical engineering is driving me crazy cos all it does is to damage my self esteem... I dun even how I used to do well last time... haiz...

But let me focus on what I shall accomplish this hols... To find tuitions! I'm like left with only one student now lo... at least now I've printed out my flyers and may students call me soon! next, of cos i gonna drive much more this hols so that soon my dad will release his grip on me and allow me to drive on my own man... yea and to really train up... trainings are really screwed up during the school term so bless me.... yup and of course to catch up with my dear frens... this sch term is a hell of mugging and 'antisociality'.

Yea and if you got any job lobangs pls tell me!
