Sometimes I really wished I got to check my results earlier cos I wun be worrying and hoping that I do well... But anyway, it's worth the wait cos I did much better than all my other sems =] finally break that 4.0 barrier for sap but my last 2 sems pulled me down... nevermind I shall work harder for the next sem and secure my 2nd upper class honours! realised that it's actually possible to get an A for my core module hahha... and the funny thing is that for that module which I din do the last 13 marks question, I got an A for it... hhaha it's a miracle... and I was expecting an A for my french but got A- instead... it's really damn competitive this sem man... If i'm still taking french next sem, I gonna s/u it! hahha thinking of taking managerial econs or french next sem leh sighz cosI wun be going to France in the end anyway... sigh dilemma...
Yesterday's pre-xmas celebration was pretty much unplanned this year but zj and I had a memorable time anyway... But it din started out well for me cos I drove down the wrong expressway from my house so i travelled for lots of miles with my mum before exiting eng neo road... sighz man it started pouring like crazy but i managed to find my way there and park at the $1 per entry shaw tower car park hahha apparently found this website that allows me to find out the prices of all the car park in sg... damn shiok!
We watched a Night in the Museum and it's very captivating I must say... Learnt quite a bit of history that too ahaha oh ya the girl with President Theodore Roosevelt reminds me a lot of Pocahontas! She's much smarter though... haha
After watching the show, we went for a stroll in Orchard but we experienced more standstills than actually walking... The bangalas are all around us and we actually saw two of them being withheld by the police... It's practically raining policemen there la... However, Zj was having a bad back ache so we had to end our stroll and go back to shaw towers where I parked my car... Damn worried for him man... I wanted to wait for my sis till midnight but had no choice but to drive to my grandma's house to wait for my dad to join my mum and I... And for the second time of the day, I nearly lost my way going there cos dunno how I ended up near NUS and I had to uturn to clementi mrt and basically follow the mrt track all the way to commonwealth... wat a hell lot of petrol i wasted yesterday!
It has been a truly memorable trip with zj, victor, gwen, davis, kim wee and derek... But it didn't start off well after we finally finished buying all the groceries for our 3 days 2 night stay... The boat ride was a ride of a lifetime indeed! The slight sway of the boat as it travels thru bumpy waters was expected in the early party of the ride, as the boat moved out of singapore waters... But it jus worsened as we enter indonesian waters... The smell of the puke around us became more intoxicating and the sound of puking was becoming unbearable... I felt like puking as the shaking became more violet and all I could do was to cling onto zj's arm and pray that it will all end soon... Derek was damn funny with his entertaining reassures like 'the last 10 mins gonna be the worst and the worst will be soon over' etc.. hahh somehow it helps a bit la.. Luckily, Davis had the foresight to buy motion sickness medicine before we boarded the boat...
My legs were practically shaking when we finally reached shore and it was a tedious wait to get our passport stamped... to make it worse we din realise tat we got to fill in the departure section of the immigration card as well so gotta fill it up, taking up more of our time... But finally we boarded our bus to Nirwana Gardens... It was a peaceful ride but the scenary was dreadful cos it started pouring heavily... And I understand why Bintan is underdeveloped-- it is filled with swamps!
Anyway, our hotel and villa were truly luxious and worth the money... there's aircon for sure, comfy beds and more than enuff space for everyone... but the villa is the more well equipped one, with all the cooking equipment prepared... =] we rested for a while in our room and soon started preparing for dinner... Spaghetti! The cooking were mainly done by davis and gwen... I jus remember washing most of the plates hahah but in the end everyone had a good first meal... oh we tried to explore the main building of Nirwana Gardens but then it was a disappointment cos everything except the gym cost money and it's raining so damn heavily! the garden paths were all flooded lo... sigh hahah all the mahjong sets were snapped up too, much to our dismay... so all we could do was to be couch potatoes and the tv set was really haywire, cant watch the shows properly =p
The second day was the best cos the sun was up by the time we woke for the buffet breakfast.. the intercontinental spread had its variety but too much carbo already so i was soon full... the funny thing is i ate sunny side up but discovered there's omelette only later... asked zj to help me get but i said scrambled egg instead so we had no omelette hahah poor zj had to eat all the sunny side up and the scrambled egg that i cant finished hahah =p
The next part of the programme was to suntan, swim and play in the pool! we changed into our bikinis and swimsuit then lounge by the pool on those pool chairs... tat's wat i call relaxation hhaha zj and i went swimming later and then lazed at the jacuzzi section... the highlight of the day was the water polo game with the french pple who were holidaying there too... i cant really participate cos the pool is 1.5m and it's kinda too deep for me... The french won in the end so we're really paiseh hhaha
The time spent at the pool ended with us sipping mocktails at the pool bar, which is right in the middle of the pool... zj and i shared mango colada which was really yummy and thirst quenching hehe... we played ball in the pool again and suntan for a while before returning to the room to shower... our skin was damn red by the time we settled for pizzas for lunch hahah painful sia!
Our mahjong set arrived as we prepared lunch but we only played at midnight... zj, derek, kim wee and i went to play archery and rifle shooting...it was damn fun la! archery was obviously hard cos need a lot of arm strength to pull... But as for the rifle shooting, i surprised myself by hitting down at least one can everytime i fire hehe amazing man! all thanks to the careful guidance of the staff there hehe zj and i went to gym before showering and returning to the villa to prepare the bbq...
we bought too much food for the bbq and it was quite tricky to set it up without the bbq pit... but victor miraculously got the fire up and soon we were roasting hotdogs and chicken wings... but i really hate the smoke and stayed in the house most of the time... we had potatoes witj sour cream, fried nuggets, eggs as well... i was so damn full man,,, the fun begun with the mahjong game cos i won 8 times! it's like majority of the games lo there was once when i was zhuang 3 times cos i won 3 times in a row.. if only i got such luck in studies man hahah we slept only after 4am, after watching a damn lame mummy show hahah woke really late the next morning, where the rain descended again... but the boat ride back was much more peaceful this time... phew
