Yea! I finally won top ten for SHAPE run after a year of waiting... Got 11th last year then din get anything so sian haha anyway today was a big fight to clinch 9th place cos i came really late cos can't find toilet then I was squeezed all the way at the back. It was not a joke trying to run past all the joggers or strollers in front of me, and I dare bet there were 1000 of them at least... i just ran and ran till I saw the 10km runners who were flagged off first... My optimism grew when I realise there were less and less of those wearing the orange tag, who are in the 5km category.... Then it came the uturn part then i started counting the number of runners in front of me...Gosh I was able to give up when I counted more than 10 pple but dunno wat inside of me kept spurring me on... So I persevered and kept trying to overtake, keeping my morale high as I saw tired runners in front of me! Then in the last 1km, someone shouted that i'm 10th and I was over the clouds! the last 500m was gruesome but I managed to overtake the 9th runner with whatever that I have left in me =] anyway, the prizes are quite good, here's the list:

We're like having a cooling down period now so we dun meet up until 25 Aug, one mth after our 4th anniversary... haha but i think absence really makes the heart grow fonder cos I really miss him right now... hahah still got 10 days to go...

Really happy today cos i've been lucky the whole day! In the morning, I caught the bus just as it was about to arrive at the bus stop. Then I realised that I din bring my laptop along but realised that I will be so late for sch if I go back to take cos the bus was turning into the interchange already... decided that I can go without lect notes as well for today's one hr only lect haha... ya n i waited 5 mins for the train but it was the longest i waited for the public transport the whole day, which i'll explain later..

so in sch, derek jus came bk from hong kong and brought krispy creme back! but it's kinda too sweet hahha... thank Derek anyway! and i was kinda distracted the whole lect cos got not notes but nvm, the lecturer was like mumbling to himself anyway. after all the lect announcements i made for yr 3 lect notes printing and yr 1 announcement regarding ChESS Welcome tea tmr, i went to Arts canteen with Huiling. ate fish slices noodles cos my throat was hurting from the saccharine sweet donut... we rushed back to engine to set up the ChESS booth and it happened that the NUSSU guys were giving out the NUSSU organizers... huiling and i waited till there was no queue then go and take.. tsk tsk..

ya and later we realised got free buffet upstairs! the food is really sumptous, got like doufu with prawns on top, chendol, bo bo cha cha, the usual chicken and fish... yum yum! luckily i din finish my noodles at arts hahah...

later i went to send more mails to the chem and environmental engineering students abt tmr's welcome tea and rushed to make more announcements at the ev yr 2 and at chbe yr 4 lectures... and finally my day is over... quite shacked to keep rushing to meet timings and talk in front of so many staring eyes.. hah but i think i'm kinda well trained liao, with my ChESS and year rep announcements haha...

yea and i caught 95, after waiting for less than a min to buona vista then 106 to orchard after a min of waitng..then walked ard scotts isetan, saw a gift for lihui, then go off... went to somerset area to visit uob bank and then went to lot one... caught 190 within 2 mins... at lot 1, the manuka honey was on sale and i bought it cos it kinda helps to build immunity yea! and finally home sweet home =] a happy day...

Finally, i can declare myself unemployed, with the exclusion of the work on 9 aug at Lancome Tangs. Haha... after these 3 months of temp work, I am really sick of sales, though the money is rather easy to earn... learnt to convince people, to lie impressively and to be 'wicked'... studying is way better I guess...

Looks like I painted a bad picture of my work... but it's not all that bad, I made lots of friends! like Crystal, Roy, Yanli(my chem eng schmate too), Evelyn etc.. yea a taste of life too... in addition to my og juniors from fwc, this hols has certainly been very fruitful=]

Just feel so disoriented at the thought of school starting the next week... I tried to contact my senior for her textbooks but she's been mia... yea and I need more normal tops for school hahah been shopping for tubes, spags and other hot tops that I'm damn broke already... sigh haha

Maybe one good thing about school starting is that I can stop worrying about getting work to do... my dad has been nagging me about getting money this hols, in preparation for NOC trip... Been rather stressed haiz... but I'm determined to save at least $2500 before I go =] can't wait man...

oh ya, Huiling bday party was last sat and it totally reminded me of my own bday party! but time passes so quickly, it has been more than 5 months since then... yea it was great seeing her so dressed up, her warm friends and her jovial relatives... the buffet was excellent though we should have come earlier to savour the cuisines =] we tried playing monopoly while waiting for her to cut cake and it was like the fastest I ever had but we only managed to go one round before the photo taking sessions and all... yea... pretty nice party
